This accessibility statement applies to: https://www.kmkg-mrah.be

Compliance Status

This website is “partially compliant”. Non-compliances and exemptions are listed below.

Preparation of This Statement

An external accessibility audit was conducted in 2025. This audit consisted of a simplified analysis.

Non-accessible Content

  • Some images or visual elements do not have text alternatives, making them inaccessible to assistive technologies (criterion 9.1.1.1).
  • Some interface elements are not accessible via keyboard navigation, which limits access without a mouse (criterion 9.2.1.1).
  • Some links are not sufficiently clear out of context, which can be confusing for screen reader users (criterion 9.2.4.4).
  • Some buttons or interactive elements do not properly communicate their name, role, or value to assistive technologies (criterion 9.4.1.2).
  • The submenu under the "Research" tab is not accessible via keyboard navigation.

Proposed Alternatives

Currently, there is no alternative available for the non-accessible content listed above.

Planned actions following the report

  • Correction of images without text alternatives: relevant alt attributes will be added to all non-decorative images.
  • Improvement of keyboard accessibility: interactive elements that are currently not operable via keyboard will be corrected, including the submenu under the "Research" tab.
  • Clarification of links: link texts will be revised to ensure they are understandable out of context.
  • Adjustment of buttons and interactive components: the code will be updated to ensure proper communication of name, role, and value to assistive technologies.
  • Regular testing: recurring manual and automated accessibility tests will be implemented to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Coordination with technical providers: necessary corrections will be included in the next maintenance or development phase of the website, in collaboration with the responsible developers.
