Reopening on December 5th: Welcome back to Halle Gate!

Due to the Covid measures your visit will differ from a normal museum visit. We have some information and guidelines, ment to ensure a safe and pleasant visit to our museum. We ask you kindly but firmly to follow these guidelines for your own safety and the safety of our personnel.

We hope you enjoy your visit!

Planning your visit:

  • Halle Gate is only open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. During the Christmas holidays we will be open every day, except Friday. Last entry to the museum is at 15h30. We can’t allow exceptions to this rule, so we kindly ask you to be on time.
  • When visiting the museum you will have to follow our corona-safe tour. A full tour takes about 1,5 hours.
  • Tickets can only be bought online, per timeslot. Print your tickets beforehand or keep them ready on a mobile device. Guided visits or visits in group are currently not possible.
  • A maximum of four people older than 12 and two children younger than 12 belonging to the same family will be allowed to enter at a time.
  • We kindly ask you not to bring unnecessary objects (backpacks, trolleys, large umbrellas, steps, suitcases,…) to the museum. There is are lockers for jackets, small handbags or small backpacks.
  • If you are physically impaired we kindly ask you to book your ticket via our reservation service (), so we can make the necessary arrangements for your visit.

During your visit:

  • We ask you to disinfect your hands at the entrance. Disinfectant will be provided. Facemasks must be worn at all times.
  • The only way to visit the museum is by following the fixed tour through the museum. We kindly ask you follow this tour at all times. Don’t turn back!
  • Follow the guidelines regarding social distancing, both towards other visitors and to our staff.
  • Please follow the instructions of our staff while visiting the museum.
  • Our restaurant is currently closed.
  • The museum shop is open, but we only accept cashless payments.

Saturdays, Sundays: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Last tickets 1,5 hour before closing time
Closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Holidays, 1 January, 1 May, 1 and 11 November, and 25 December.

The Brussels-Capital Region is a Low Emission Zone (LEZ). If you’re travelling by car or in a van, check the lez.brussels site to find out if your vehicle is affected. If your vehicle does not comply with the LEZ access criteria: You can buy a day pass or use one of the many available alternatives to travel in the LEZ. Vehicles registered abroad must first be registered before travelling in the LEZ. Registration is free. Thank you for taking part in this regional effort to improve air quality and public health.

For people with reduced mobility
A lift is available for people with reduced mobility (on request at the reception). The panoramic view of the city from wall walk of the Halle Gate is unfortunately only accessible by stairs.
