Opening hours
Permanent Collections
Tuesdays to Fridays: 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturdays, Sundays and feast-days (closed on Easter Monday): 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed on Mondays, 1 January, 1 May, 1 and 11 November, and 25 December.
Note: ticket-office closes at 4 p.m.
On 24 and 31 December, the museum closes at 2.00 p.m. and the ticket office à 1.00 p.m.

Train : Alight at Merode or Schuman stations (within walking distance of the museum)
or at Central Station (metro connection to the Cinquantenaire Museum).

Metro : Alight at ‘Schuman’ or ‘Merode’.

Bus : 22, 27, 80: alight at ‘Galliërs’; 61: alight at ‘Merode’.

Tram : 81, 82: alight at ‘Merode’.

Parking : In front of the main ‘Albert and Elisabeth’ entrance, the ‘Park’ entrance and the Plaster-cast Workshop.

Entrance for handicapped visitors : Wheel-chairs available to the right of the staircase to the main entrance. Reception of handicapped visitors: 02 741 73 31

€ 4 : groups (min. 15 persons), senior citizens (65 +), ‘Visit Brussels’, ‘Must of Brussels’

€1.5 : children en young persons 6-25 years, unemployed persons, the handicapped

Free : children under 6, Belgian teachers, students in art, archaeology, history and museology, members of the press and of the ‘Per Musea’ support group, Friends of the Educational Service, Friends of the RMAH, members of the ICOM and the BMR, ‘Touristische Attracties’ and ‘City of Brussels’ guides, and those with a Belspo card.


The audioguide for the galleries Romanesque and Mosan Art, Gothic-Renaissance-Baroque, Egypt, Art of the Islamic World, is available in English, French and Dutch and costs € 4.

Admission free for everyone on the first Wednesday of the month from 1 p.m. on.
