Kids' Art Day

Under Nut's stars
Sun 15-11-2015

The third Sunday of November is Kids’ Art day in Brussels and Flanders! In the Cinquantenaire Museum children and their parents can learn all about the secrets of Ancient Egyptian art. Come visit the special exhibition on a group of extraordinary sarcophagi that was discovered about 140 years ago in communal tomb that had been undisturbed for thousands of years.

Join us on this Art day and help us build a starry sky. Why? To dream under the stars of Nut, to create memories and make wishes come true…

The Ancient Egyptians also painted starry skies on the inside of their coffins, stars on the Nut’s dress! This is why she is the star of our Art day: Nut protecting us as goddess of the sky but also sporting an unusual hairdo. Want to try for yourself? We are setting up a special hair salon!
And there is lots more to do and discover. From 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. there are several non-stop workshops (no registration required), or join a guided family visit (in English 2 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.).
