This event is cancelled!

The Brussels Art Nouveau & Art Deco (BANAD) Festival is a special event that promotes the Art Nouveau and Art Deco heritage of the Brussels-Capital Region. It takes place every year in March. The last weekend of March you can visit the Pavilion of Human Passions and the Jewellery Wolfers.

PAVILION OF HUMAN PASSIONS
This small building which resembles a classical tempietto in the Cinquantenaire Park was Victor Horta’s first public commission. The interior is dominated by the impressive sculpture “The Human Passions” by Jef Lambeaux. Carved in Carrara marble, it represents the pleasures and sorrows of human life.

THE JEWELLERY WOLFERS
107 years after the official inauguration of the Wolfers Frères jewellery store in 1912, visitors will once again be able to admire the shop in its original form. To do this, the Art & History Museum has cleared a room of approximately the same shape and area as that originally foreseen by Victor Horta in the building in rue d' Arenberg in Brussels.
